Most content gets ignored. Not because it’s bad because it doesn’t do anything for the audience.
At BrainStation, I broke down a simple framework we use at Magnafire to guide everything we make:
Content should do at least one of three things:
→ Educate
→ *Entertain*
→ Inspire
You can hit one, or two or all three of these pillars, but these days content needs to at least be *entertaining*.
It doesn’t matter if you’re educating about a new shoe, or a jacket, if it doesn’t entertain, your audience is gone.
Educate through *entertainment*
Inspire through *entertainment*
… or just lean into entertainment only
I see this mistake all the time:
-Content created just to check boardroom boxes.
-Not interesting. Not funny. Not entertaining = No reason to care.
